How we work on a Sidekick Power Panel?
RFQ(Request for Quote)
We need some basic information to generate idea, work out display structure, choose appropriate surface and corrugated materials.
Product Type
If it is one SKU or multiple items to be displayed on a single display, we can have it well arranged on shelf. Inform us if there is a max or mim quantity.
Packaging Size
At the initial structure design stage, we need exact packing size of your products, it’s better and in most cases customer sent product samples to us.
Unit Weight
To let us choose appropriate corrugate and printing paper, as well as display structure and whether to apply accessories in display.
It would be better if you ship product samples to us, or take photos of measurements of your product packaging, like below example,
Sample Request & Confirmation
We shall work out a white sample based on information collected from previous stages. Mockup&white sample usually takes 1-2 days. With this white sample in correct sizes and material, clients can have all products fulfilled and test.

Components to Form A Sidekick Display
- Display size
Sidekick display size is restricted and defined by in-store wire frame hardware specs. Here is a table to showcase both wire frame size and side kick sizes.

- Corrugate material
There are a variety of factors to consider when choosing appropriate material to suit your project based on what products to be shown on display. Flute types, board grade and cardboard thicknesses are among the key points.
To work out a better weight bearing capacity, usually we would apply the flute direction as height of the end cap display, with sandwiched between two liners.
Most common required and used flute type is C or B flute, with each thickness 4mm and 3mm. There might be chances that we combine B flute and E flute to form BE twin cushions when items displays are extremly heavy. While in Walmart has its restriction of max product weight: 25 lbs.
- Power Panel S-Clip
Holds 1/8” B-Flute corrugate
Can be also called Plastic Clips Hardware in different Club Stores. At the end of many store aisles are power wings, bars and corrugated power panels. This S-Clip helps mounting POP displays to the wire wing or alternative store fixture.
Caution from Walmark Guidelines is be sure to order clips that will support the weight of the sidekick. This requirement is also suitbale for almost all market places.
- Peg Hook
Length 4” white to perfectly suits depth of the end cap.
Peg hook for corrugated sidekick display is “F” structured. This special design adds extra strength, and resist sagging during transit when full loaded with products.
- Peg Hook Stops
These stopers are a not to be ignored factor, especially during seashipping and inland transit to stores. It prevents products from fell off and help keep them stable and stuck safely.
- Master Carton
Side Kick’s shall utilize end loading shippers. This style shipper allows for ease of loading and unloading
at store level, and also utilizes minimal material required for the shipper box. See page 7 – 9 for proper
carton marking icons.
Transit Testing ISTA 2A
This specifically would go into a club channel stores like Walmart, Costco, Sams Club, we are actually designer, manufacturer, ISTA testers so that vendors, supply chains, make sure, compression, gets drop tested, gets slant tested, and shake tested, so that you are prepared for supply chain. And then get thoses manufactured and packed out.
They have 1A ,1B, 2A, 2B testing, there is a lot of things you have to think about when you plan for retail, you have to have a strong partner there.
We do full ranges of transit in-house testing before handing out sample. Clients submit our sample to third party testing lab like SGS, or ISTA nominated labs.
